Daniel Farke has a number of options to choose from as he readies his Leeds United team to face Hull City on Wednesday evening
What a difference a month makes. When Leeds United took on West Bromwich Albion on August 18, their substitutes bench featured just seven players.
Two of those were goalkeepers and only one of Daniel Farke's potential replacements that evening was born before the year 2000, as the issue of squad depth looked to be one that could potentially derail any Leeds United hopes of promotion before they began. But compare and contrast that to the bench Leeds could utilise at The Den on Sunday, as gone were the empty spots and untested academy graduates, with Daniel James one of three full internationals to come on and play a key role in Leeds' third goal as they put the Lions to the sword.
Summer signings Glen Kamara and Ilia Gruev are potential options in midfield, while James will have done his case no harm with his lively cameo at The Den. It would be hard to drop any of the forward line after an excellent afternoon's work in Bermondsey, but the games are coming thick and fast at the moment, with Saturday's visit of Watford being Leeds' third game in less than a week.
