Directed by Jake Schreier, the film sees Yelena Belova still working as a government assassin while struggling with civilian life after the events ofand the group finds themselves forced to work together as someone tries to wipe them out. This eventually pulls Bucky and Yelena’s adoptive dad Red Guardian into the fray, and more chaos will surely unfold.
Unlike the first trailer, this one highlights the four assassins and shows what makes them such effective killers. It also ends up answering two big questions: why are they called the Thunderbolts, and who the hell bought Avengers Tower? The first is admittedly funny; Guardian declares them that because he thinks it’s a cool name , which the others aren’t having. As for the second, it’s none other than Yelena’s boss Valentina , and she’s more than happy in her new digs.
