Twin historic mansions in Mobile’s DeTonti Square Historic District are for sale for $1.485 million. The three-story homes, which were joined by a connector in 1963, were built in 1832 and 1835 as private residences for two generations of the Cornelius Robinson family. The two-story addition that joins the homes includes a foyer and an elevator.
The first and second floors of the homes are currently being used as offices; the third floors are unfinished but have original detailing including wood floors and fireplaces. Other historic features include hardwood floors, moldings, turned stair rails, multiple coal-burning fireplaces, primitive kitchen and period chandeliers.
