His cause and manner of death remain under investigation. The identity of the suspect has yet to be released by authorities.Officers were called just after 5 a.m. to the 6800 block of Military Drive West for an assault in progress. Police say that Thompson, who was working as a security guard, was struggling with a female suspect who had previously been trespassing at the location. He was struck multiple times during the struggle.
