Deputies responded to the Texas Card House poker room in the 1400 block of Spring Cypress Road shortly after 6 a.m.
That was when, according to Gonzalez, a “gun battle” ensued between the suspects, with “dozens of shots fired.” The security guard was hit by the gunfire.KPRC 2 spoke with a card dealer named Andrew. He asked not to show his face. He said he just made his way inside Texas Card Club, seconds before shots were fired.
Harris County sheriff’s deputies said a security officer got in a gun battle with four men attempting to rob the poker room. The officer, known as Officer Jackson, was hit seven times. “Our security officer came stumbling back in the door and told us that they had left and that the threat was over,” said Andrew.
