A second man has been charged in last month's shooting of Black Lives Matter activist Sasha Johnson, London police say
Devonte Brown, 18, of Southwark, was charged Friday with conspiracy to murder Johnson and was expected to appear at the Westminster Magistrates' Court on Saturday, the statement said. Johnson, who rose to prominence during Black Lives Matter protests last year and leads the Taking the Initiative Party ,"remains in a critical condition in hospital," police said.According to an earlier police statement, Johnson was shot during a house party around 3 a.m., when four men"entered the garden of the property and discharged a firearm."
