Residents of a northeast Austin neighborhood are still reeling after a shooting Monday evening that left a young girl dead.The Austin Police Department said thi

The Austin Police Department said this happened at the Bridge at Harris Ridge Apartments just after 6 p.m. The girl died just minutes after first responders arrived on the scene.

Residents like Griffis and Latisha said they are tired of the violence at their complex, especially because it has taken the lives of two children so far."How can we stop these young teenagers from packing guns?" asked Griffis, "How can we stop the violence?" " don't feel safe and I don't need either." said Latisha, "I should be able to walk out of my house and go anywhere I want to, without having to peek around the corner to see if anybody is shooting."
