Elk Ridge has been a second home for Saskatoon golfer Josh Nagy, who is competing in the Elk Ridge Saskatchewan Open this week.

“They hadn’t golfed before and they’re five or six or seven years old,” recalled Danberg. “Josh started up over there at that driving range. Here he is now, and he just won his first NCAA event over the winter.”“It’s been pretty awesome,” Nagy said of his NCAA collegiate golf experience. “The last two years have been pretty solid, so, going back for one more year, I’m just excited to get back down there at the end of summer and hopefully win a conference championship.

“Top five I’ve played, for sure,” he said. “I’ve played all over, but in Saskatchewan it’s my favourite. My game’s in a good spot, I feel like, so I’m excited to see how it compares with this level of field.Article content Danberg, who is the tournament director this week, marvels at the growth of Nagy’s golf game and that of other up-and-comers.
