Investigators now have Robert McMillian, also known as "Luh Mista," in custody after serving the arrest warrant on him Monday night on Cortex Drive. Our crew at the scene reported hearing a loud bang at one point, then law enforcement officers using a loud speaker to talk to someone believed to still be inside the house..A second man, Laderick Davis also known as “ESPN 20”, was arrested in May in Cobb County Georgia in connection with Evans’ death.On Monday, July 15, 2024, Mobile County Sheriff’s Office was notified that the Mobile Police Department had taken Robert Lamar McMillian into custody at 1607 Cortez Drive, Mobile, Alabama.
MPD SWAT and the Mobile County Sheriff's Office Special Operations Unit secured the residence. A search warrant was executed at the home listed above and MCSO Detectives recovered two Glock firearms, two .40 caliber magazines, one unfired .40 caliber cartridge, and one unfired 7.62x39 cartridge. MCSO Detectives arrested McMillian and charged him with the felony murder and assault 1st. The victim in this case was Donte Evans. McMillian was transported to the Mobile County Metro Jail. Case closed.
