Among the chosen players are Auburn 's standout linebacker, Charles Carr , alongside former Tennessee defensive tackle John Henderson and former Ole Miss offensive tackle Terrence Metcalf . Michael Huff , a former Texas defensive back who played for the Longhorns from 2002 to 2005, before Texas joined the SEC, also secured a spot in the Class of 2025.
Carr concluded his college career as a consensus All-American in 1984, marking his second consecutive season as a first-team All-SEC selection. In 1983, he played a pivotal role in Auburn's SEC championship victory. Carr's impressive performance on the field earned him a second-place ranking on Auburn's all-time tackles list. He was also recognized as a National Football Foundation Scholar-Athlete in 1984. After four seasons with the NFL's Pittsburgh Steelers, Carr pursued a career as a surgeon. Henderson, a standout for Tennessee, won the Outland Trophy as the nation's best interior lineman in 2000 and was a finalist for the award in 2001, despite playing through an ankle injury that season. He achieved consensus All-American recognition in both 2000 and 2001.
