University of Florida starting quarterback DJ Lagway was carted off the field after suffering an apparent injury against Georgia. Backup quarterback Aidan Warner has entered the game for him.Lagway kept the ball on a first down and ran to the left side of the field. He grabbed the area around his hamstring and immediately fell to the turf. Trainers entered the field to come to his aid.It was determined that the Florida signal-caller needed to have help off the field.
In seven appearances this season, he has thrown for 1024 yards with five touchdowns and five interceptions. He has also rushed for 96 yards on the ground. The Gators view him as the future signal-caller for their program so the hope is that he won't have suffered too bad of an injury. The more reps that he can get this season, the better off he will be moving forward.Warner will be tasked with helping the Gators take control of the rest of the game.
