'A Different Man's first trailer introduces viewers to Edward (Sebastian Stan), an aspiring actor who undergoes a transformative medical procedure.
‘s Renate Reinsve and Adam Pearson, the film from writer-director Aaron Schimberg centers on Edward , an aspiring actor who undergoes a radical medical procedure to drastically transform his appearance. Edward’s new dream face quickly turns into a nightmare, as he loses out on the role he was born to play and becomes obsessed with reclaiming what was lost.
In addition to A24, which financed the pic, producers of the film included Christine Vachon, Vanessa McDonnell, and Gabriel Mayers. World premiering at this year’s Sundance Film Festival before going on to screen at the Berlin International Film Festival, where Stan won the Silver Bear for Best Leading Performance, the film more recently chosen to screen on the opening night of the New Directors/New Films festival.
