An expensive offseason acquisition, the striker failed to score over his new team’s first five games and perhaps frustration was setting in on a number of fronts.
The win is the third of the season for Houston and its first back-to-back victories since the summer of 2020. Off a corner, Ferreira scored his first goal in the eighth minute. On his 68th-minute score, Ferreira worked the defender to the ground before securing the goal past goalkeeper J.T. Marcinkowski.
Most disheartening for Houston was that the Dynamo had little awareness where Ebobisse was on either of the goals scored on Steve Clark. The two goals for San Jose mark the first two this season on the road.
