The Seattle area will experience a foggy start to the week with chilly nights and temperatures below normal. A weak front will bring a slight chance of showers for coastal regions and the north sound on Wednesday. The rest of the week will be mainly dry, with a chance of rain and mountain snow on Friday.

The low clouds were slow to clear today, and in some places never really managed to dissipate. The Washington coastline, however, did see some sunbreaks with the fog just hanging off the shore. It is expected to roll back in by this evening. A chilly night and early Tuesday morning as temperatures dip to near freezing. Be sure to bundle up the kids before they head out to the bus stop. Afternoon highs will reach the mid 40s, a bit below normal.

More fog will settle in overnight, but the layer won't be thick, so it should burn off more easily and quickly tomorrow. Mid and high level clouds will push in with a weak front that will bring a slight chance of showers for coastal regions and the north sound. A quiet week with mainly dry skies, except for Friday when we see a chance for lowland rain, mountain snow and breezy winds. There will be a quick chance of rain before we return to the partly cloudy skies by the weekend.
