Harris was in competition for Seattle’s starting center job after signing as a free agent from the Browns.
The Seattle Seahawks have moved on from free agent acquisition Nick Harris. Having signed with the Seahawks after four seasons with the Cleveland Browns, Harris has been traded back to the Browns. Seattle and Cleveland also agreed to swap Day 3 picks in the 2026 NFL Draft. It is not surprising that the Seahawks made a decision on one of Harris or second-year player Olu Oluwatimi.
Those two were in competition to be the Seahawks’ starting center, but the impending arrival of former Miami Dolphins starter Connor Williams made it clear how the coaching staff felt about the camp battle. Cleveland’s current starting center is former Seahawks center Ethan Pocic, but evidently the Browns are in need of a backup after Luke Wypler fractured his ankle, so they’re calling upon a familiar name to fill that void.
