The Seattle Police Department is investigating a shooting in the Central District of Seattle.
Authorities have urged the public to exercise caution and avoid the area of 23rd Ave. and E. Alder St. near Garfield High School. The school was placed on lockdown, police said.SPD took to social media to alert the community, stating: " Seattle Police are investigating a shooting in the 400 block of 23rd Avenue.
