After years of swapping turnip prices with fellow players and hoarding Bells like dragons, one New Horizons player has found that it is, in fact, possible to have too much money.
To really max out the number of Bells, a player needs to have 999,999,999 already stored in their savings. Since the drop-off box outside Timmy and Tommy's shop gets deposited directly into a player's savings account at the end of the day, players who are one bell away from becoming an in-game billionaire will need to offload some of their wealth before making any more sales.
Creating a new character in the same New Horizons save file also provides another house to decorate. This additional house will also need to be fully upgraded if the player wants the additional 5,000 storage slots, costing a whopping 8,996,000 Bells, though anyone looking to increase their maximum number of Bells won't have to worry about money.
