The family of 61-year-old Dale Cook say they are 'devastated' by his disappearance, as police on foot with dogs resume their search of dense bushland nearby.

Today's search is concentrated on dense bushland near the family's home and involves officers on foot as well as dogs.Mr Cook, a painter and decorator, was last seen walking on McStay Street, Middle Ridge, near his home about 12:30pm on the day he disappeared. "The fact that he has not been found is literally torturing us every day, especially his wife and children," Craig Cook said.Mr Cook went for a walk from the Middle Ridge home he shares with his wife Tracy on August 11.It was a walk he did often — to the end of the street, turning left, around the block and back home, within an hour.
"The police and emergency services have been remarkable. We are thankful for the love … we have received from around the world."
