A search was ongoing Tuesday morning for a man who reportedly washed out of a boat on Iliamna Lake, Alaska State Troopers said.

Two men had taken a skiff Sunday evening from Igiugig and were traveling to Newhalen through Iliamna Lake, troopersAuthorities were notified at around 9 p.m. that they had not arrived, but troopers said poor weather prevented flying in the area that evening. A private air carrier found the skiff on the shore Monday, and troopers responded to the area with a helicopter. One of the men told troopers that the second man, Jeremy Davis, “was washed out of the boat far offshore overnight.”This is a developing story. Check back for updates.
