Monroe police officers found a car parked behind a movie theater and two people in the woods nearby.
MONROE, Wash. — Monroe police officers searching a stolen car found a stolen shotgun and several pounds of marijuana.
On April 18, officers spotted a Lexus sedan that was suspiciously parked behind Galaxy Theatres Monroe.by Monroe police.Officers said they were able to quickly stop the fleeing pair — a 32-year-old woman from Sultan and a 36-year-old man from Lakebay.Police said the man who fled had the ignition key to the stolen Lexus. He was booked into the Snohomish County Jail on charges of making a false-misleading statement to a public servant after falsely identifying himself as his brother.
On April 21, officers obtained a warrant to search the Lexus. Inside, they found a stolen shotgun and several pounds of marijuana.
