"He is a competent sailor, from what we've been informed by his family, and he has done this journey on several occasions in the past without incident," Acting Sergeant Shortland said. "On being informed of the overdue vessel, WA Police have coordinated a search effort by sea, air and land in attempts to locate Mr Saunderson and his yacht," Acting Sergeant Shortland said.
