The South African Police Service is still searching for six-year-old Joshlin Smith, who went missing in Middelpos, Saldanha, on Tuesday, 20 February 2024.The Disaster Risk Management team has employed drones to search for Joshlin, with the help of 200 people, including Mayor André Truter, as reported by the
‘There’s no concrete direct evidence except that the girl was last seen on Monday,’ said Truter. ‘After that, she disappeared into thin air.’ ‘The search and investigation continues. Rumours that the child’s body was discovered are unfounded,’ said police spokesperson Lieutenant Colonel Malcolm Pojie. ‘Yesterday, police went out in full force with the additional deployment of the Airwing and K-9 Search and Rescue dogs.’
Visible police members were also accompanied by community members involved in today’s search for the missing Joslin.
