Sean Penn and estranged wife Leila George reunite to volunteer at Ukrainian refugee centers
CORE is a non-profit organization founded by the actor, initially established in response to the 2010 earthquake in Haiti.
Leila walked side by side with Sean as they toured the facility while cameras filmed for the star's VICE documentary on the invasion. CORE will also fund the renovation of buildings designated to house up to 50 refugees in Krakow. Poland and Romania have taken the majority of refugees since Russia launched its invasion of Ukraine in February this year.
Both Sean and Leila have been sharing Instagram posts from their joint trip to Ukrainian refugee camps in recent days. No details of what led to the split from Leila have ever come to light, but their relationship was said to have had ups and downs before he proposed, as well as the star having a packed work schedule last summer.
