Mets officials on Wednesday were still formulating their starting rotation plans to begin the second half, but had settled on Sean Manaea to pitch Friday night against the Marlins.
The Mets’ preference is to start two lefties against the Yankees — a tactic they employed in winning both Subway Series games last month at Citi Field.That would mean using Jose Quintana or David Peterson to pitch Tuesday at Yankee Stadium.
