The Toffees are weighing up a move for Leeds United winger Willy Gnonto

Everton boss Sean Dyche is hoping for a transfer breakthrough in the coming weeks after the Toffees were linked with a move for Leeds United's Willy Gnonto .

They could be set to lose midfielder Amadou Onana in a £50m deal to Aston Villa, and Dyche could well be given a healthy slice of that money to reinvest in his squad - with Gnonto reportedly high on his wishlist after they missed out on Hull City's Jaden Philogene. Dyche says he is constant contact with director of football Kevin Thelwell, and hinted at some potential progress soon.

We are trying to adapt to the market as best we can and still work within the guidelines of what the situation is at the club. It's been a challenge since I got here, it goes on being a challenge but we've shown we can be very competitive with our signings and mould a team. That remains key.”
