The Seattle Seahawks' Jaxon Smith-Njigba will represent the NFC at the Pro Bowl Games in Orlando after Washington Commanders receiver Terry McLaurin opted out due to injury. Smith-Njigba, alongside teammates Leonard Williams and Devon Witherspoon, will participate in the Pro Bowl festivities. Though selected as an alternate, Smith-Njigba will have another opportunity to earn a Pro Bowl spot through the initial ballot next season.
The offense of the Seattle Seahawks certainly had its ups and downs over the course of the 2024 season under former offensive coordinator Ryan Grubb. However, one of the bright spots of the group throughout the year was the ability of the team to successfully execute in the screen game, particularly to second year wide receiver Jaxon Smith-Njigba .
This next play is a great example of Anthony Bradford getting out in space and waylaying a defender so hard he nearly took out Stone Forsythe’s knees in the process, while on the back side Damien Lewis just tries to bear hug the rusher coming at him. Now hold up just one second. Lewis wasn’t on the Seahawks in 2024, so that must have been a screen to JSN called by Shane Waldron during the 2023 season.
