It’s not looking good for Fant or Walker to play on Sunday against New England.
As the Seattle Seahawks get set to hit the road for their first away game of the season when they take on the New England Patriots at Gillette Stadium in Foxboro, Massachusetts Sunday, they could be without a pair of key members of the offense. Specifically, starting running back Ken Walker and right tackle George Fant have yet to practice since sustaining injuries in the Week 1 victory over the Denver Broncos, which could mean neither sees the field against the Pats.
Fant was, of course, signed as an insurance policy in the offseason following yet another knee procedure for Abe Lucas, and while Lucas remains on the PUP list and if Fant is unable to go in Week 2, the Hawks could turn to Stone Forsythe, or one of the other youngsters on the roster. In any case, there was no shortage of Hawks on the injury list after practice Thursday.
