It’s the second fine of the season for ‘Big Cat’ for the same penalty.
Seattle Seahawks defensive lineman Leonard Williams was magnificent against the New York Jets, thoroughly earning NFC Defensive Player of the Week honors after recording two sacks, a 92-yard pick-six, and even a blocked extra point. And yet, his dominant performance did have one mistake that cost him a sack and will cost him some money.
New York would eventually score the game’s opening touchdown after the infraction. Face-masking the QB is pretty much an automatic fine, and there was no doubt that this was a penalty. It’s Williams’ second fine this season, having previously grabbed onto Deebo Samuel’s face mask in the Week 6 loss to the San Francisco 49ers.
