The weekly practice squad shuffle has Seattle adding a former Jets special teamer this week.
Fresh off their first shutout in decade, a 26-0 victory over the Minnesota Vikings, the Seattle Seahawks are set to begin preparations for another trip to the Eastern Time Zone to take on the Atlanta Falcons in Week 14.
A part of the weekly preparations for the Seahawks this season has been the roster movement of the practice squad, and this week is no different, with a pair of transactions announced Tuesday afternoon. So, the Seahawks waived running back Myles Gaskin after just a single game on the 53-man roster, while the team freed up a pair of spots on the practice squad by moving on from wide receiver Brenden Rice and center Doug Kramer. With two open spots on the practice squad, it seems almost certain that Gaskin will be signed to fill one of those spots, with outside linebacker Ja’Markis Weston being signed to fill the other spot. An undrafted free agent out of Florida, Weston signed with the Jets in the spring and played 56 special teams snaps during a three game stretch on the active roster. With so many key members of the Seattle special teams suffering injuries in recent weeks, it should come as no surprise that the team has made a move to address depth for special teams, and in doing so adding potential upside for 2026.
