Good news, Seattle Seahawks fans! The team’s projected starting linebackers are cleared for practice. On the eve of the first day of training camp practice, the Seahawks announced that Jerome Baker and Tyrel Dodson have both passed their physicals. Last week they were initially placed on the Physically Unable to Perform list, having not practiced throughout spring due to their respective injuries.
Dodson, a former rival of Baker’s in Buffalo, had an undisclosed injury, although he hurt his shoulder in that same Bills-Dolphins meeting and missed the subsequent Wild Card game. He did start and play in the Divisional Round loss to the Kansas City Chiefs. This is undoubtedly positive news for the Seahawks, who’ve relied upon Jon Rhattigan and Patrick O’Connell for first-team reps during minicamp and OTAs.
