Severe flooding in New York on Friday sent people and cars wading through drenched streets, homes flooded, and travelers sloshing throughat LaGuardia Airport. Yet the deluge gave one sea lion named Sally an opportunity: to briefly escape her enclosure at the Central Park Zoo.

The flooding was the worst the city has seen since Hurricane Ida, during which intense downpours in 2021 killed more than 40 people across the New York region.Despite rumors online, Sally “remained inside the zoo” during her foray for freedom, “never breaching the zoo’s secondary perimeter,” Breheny said.“The new Madagascar movie looks sick,”
