As Tasmania's new Young Australian of the Year, she said she hoped to use her voice to encourage young people to pursue their dreams. Penelope Blomfield will use the Australian of the Year platform to continue advocating for health access.She said the award spoke to the "hard work of the many teams or nurses and medical staff" who work in the field in Tasmania."I know that services need to have improved access, and I know they need improved resources.
