The death of an off-duty San Diego police officer is under investigation. The officer died shortly after he was arrested on suspicion of DUI and released from a Riverside County jail.
Riverside County jail records indicate Orso was arrested on suspicion of DUI by the California Highway Patrol at 2:19 a.m. Saturday near Murrieta Hot Springs Road and Interstate 215.More than four hours later, CHP officers booked Orso into the Cois Byrd Detention Center on two misdemeanor DUI charges at 6:42 a.m., jail records confirm.
