SDPD homicide detectives arrest suspect in beating of man at Grant Hill park [Breaking]
Homicide detectives arrested a man Tuesday morning on suspicion that he used a large piece of lumber to beat and gravely injure another man who was lying in a sleeping bag at a Grant Hill park, police said.
The attack occurred about 7:30 a.m. Tuesday on the basketball court at the L Street Mini Park on L and 28th streets, Campbell said in a news release. The caller who reported the attack told dispatchers that a man with a three-foot piece of wood was hitting a person inside a sleeping bag.
