Summary After a successful Kickstarter campaign by Hidden Gnome Publishing and Lex+Otis Animation Studio, Cradle is being adapted for the screen, and the fledgling project celebrated its fortune at San Diego Comic-Con. The animation is based on Will Wight's best-selling fantasy novels and centers around Lindon, who attempts to prevent the apocalypse by mastering magical martial arts. How Cradle Went From Page To Animated Screen Screen Rant: Will, talk to me about Cradle. Why did animation feel like the right medium to bring this to life, and why did you want to approach it through a Kickstarter? I told Will, "Why don't we do kind of the director's version of this?" Looking back, it's been seven years, and now you get to change and do your version of it. Looking back, what would you smooth out, and what would you establish earlier? And I think he was really jazzed about that idea of going back to his baby and looking at it from a different lens.
Uncovering The Characters Of Cradle & Giving Voice To The World For you guys voicing the project, tell me a little bit about your characters and what got you on board. It really was collaborative. You show up with what you think it might be, and then the more you learn about what their idea is and this person's idea, mixing it together this beautiful, beautiful soup. That's what's coming to mind. It was collaborative, and it's a really cool character.
