An ambulance worker told her friend she'd 'go on the run' to Liverpool after trying to murder her boss. Stacey Smith, 46, lay in wait for her manager at North West Ambulance Service , Michala Morton, outside her home armed with a hammer after blaming her for issues at work. After Ms Morton left her house in Dukinfield, Greater Manchester, to go to work, Smith struck.
footage later obtained by police showed her raising the hammer and hitting her again and again on the head, arms, legs and torso. Ms Morton suffered a fractured wrist and a head injury after being hit as she raised her arms to protect herself. Smith eventually dropped the hammer in the street and drove off, the MEN reports. Smith, of Ascot Road, Newton Heath, admitted causing GBH with intent but denied attempted murder.
