A hot take about Scream 1996 ignites a thirsty fan debate on Twitter as users discuss the most attractive characters in the iconic slasher movie.

A Scream hot take has begun a fan debate that is mostly just thirst tweets. The original Scream, which was written by Kevin Williamson and directed by Wes Craven, premiered in December 1996 and kicked off a franchise that now includes six films and three seasons of a spinoff television series. The original film followed Sidney Prescott as she and her friends are stalked by a masked killer known as Ghostface on the anniversary of her mother's murder.

SCREENRANT VIDEO OF THE DAY SCROLL TO CONTINUE WITH CONTENT This week, Twitter user COREYHAIMz shared a hot take on Twitter. Along with pictures of two teenage boys being threatened by Henry Winkler's Principal Himbry in a brief scene from Scream 1996, they posted the caption "And if I said they were the only two attractive guys in Scream .

The actors who played these two characters are Troy Bishop and Ryan Kennedy . Both performers played minor roles in various projects throughout their careers, though neither has credits beyond 2012. Kennedy's most prominent role was likely a 1999 episode of Nash Bridges, whereas Bishop appeared in several prominent titles including Scrubs, General Hospital, Don't Trust the B---- in Apartment 23, and - oddly - a different episode of Nash Bridges.

While these characters appear in Scream for a very short time, the fact that they have the ability to spark such a raging debate proves how much every detail of the original film is important in the long run. In fact, one fan theory even speculates that one of them might be the father of Jenna Ortega's Tara Carpenter from Scream 2022 and Scream VI.
