Paul Curran has a 'dangerous job'
Paul Curran, from Everton, is an international circus artist and after years of training, he is a well-rounded performer. The 41-year-old, who now lives in Childwall with his partner Simon Leong, specialises in aerial acrobatics, silks and adagio and fire breathing and eating.
“Just two years ago at a live show in Manchester, there was an accident where the ribbon snapped and I fell 20ft and broke my back in two places. It wasn’t nice at all - it made me think my career was over. I was lying there bleeding and wondering if my life was over as well. Since the incident, Paul has been determined to continue to get his name known in an industry he has been in for over a decade now. The fine arts graduate has travelled to the likes of Bejing, Slovakia and the Maldives thanks to his job.
