Andy Roach said he caught up with the actor after his show and joked 'be there on time or miss out'
A comedian has explained why Hollywood star Gerard Butler was refused entry to one of his shows. Andy Roach, 36, from Crosby , made the jump to doing comedy full-time a few years ago. Speaking to the ECHO, Andy said: “I used to work in the events team at the arena. After covid, I thought, now’s the time to go for it. I had a few gigs when I was younger but didn’t really pursue it. Liverpool being the city it is, it’s a city of funny people and I loved comedy growing up.
It’s pretty light hearted.” Andy took this show to this year’s Edinburgh Fringe comedy festival. At one of his shows last week, he was taken aback when he learnt Gerard Butler, star of films such as 300 and Olympus Has Fallen, had turned up to his show but was not allowed to come in. Andy managed to catch up with the actor afterwards and both saw the funny side of the situation. He said: “He’s got a very recognisable voice.
