Fergus McCreadie said taking the title for Forest Floor, after previous two albums were longlisted and shortlisted, has broadened his audience.
A talented jazz pianist has told how winning a prestigious music award has opened up a host of opportunities.
McCreadie is set to perform at the SAY awards on Thursday October 26 which will be staged, for the second year running, at Stirling’s Albert Halls. They also played in Paris, Toulouse, Tubigen and Freiburg as well as the Oslo Jazz Festival and Islay Jazz Festival. “There was a lot of attention around the album with the award which I think pushed it to a lot of people who wouldn’t otherwise have heard it.Fergus McCreadie Trio also recorded a new album this year whose release date has yet to be announced.
