ESPN has set its “Monday Night Countdown” crew.
Scott Van Pelt will be joined by Marcus Spears, Ryan Clark and Robert Griffin III on the new Monday Night Countdown, The Post has learned.Van Pelt and Laura Rutledge were considered for the job, but Van Pelt has been the favorite of ESPN upper management.Van Pelt already did the postgame show after “Monday Night Football” games.
For Spears, this continues his rise through ESPN’s ranks. He recently signed a new four-year, nearly $7 million contract.Clark has also become a mainstay on ESPN’s NFL programming. Clark, according to sources, recently received interest from “Inside the NFL,” which has moved from Paramount Plus to THE CW. Griffin was previously on the show.Rutledge will continue to be a workhorse for NFL, hosting its daily program, “NFL Live” and its SEC Nation pregame.
