The midfielder has started to earn more minutes under the Dutchman who is coming under fire.
Scott McTominay has taken a passionate stance on Man United's current plight - and has backed Erik ten Hag to dig them out a rut.
Speaking with club media, the Scotland hero has offered a strong defence of the gaffer, admitting the dressing room was filled with rage during the Newcastle game. But he believes the current man at the helm is the guy to get them going again. McTominay said: "The fans are always there and are always behind us.
"That’s not important to us at the moment. Everyone has to come together and, when the next game comes, we have to fight like dogs, that’s the way it’s got to be. "It’s not quite happening at the moment, but I’m 100 per cent sure that the manager can put that into practice and it can come off. I’m sure of that.
