Met Office maps show clear skies will be replaced by grey rain clouds from next week
After days of sunshine, Scotland's glorious weather came to a brief halt on Friday - and more rain is on the way. Following downpours and heavy flooding yesterday, forecasters predict a clear weekend, but this will once again change on Monday.
Jim Dale, founder and senior meteorological consultant at British Weather Services, previously spoke to Express.co.uk on the sudden change. He explained: "We’ve just had a showery period through hot weather, but it retained its heat. Instead, this one will knock the heat on the head. The weekend wet weather will hit other parts of the UK first, before heading back up north by Monday. On Saturday, showers will continue to move up from Northern Ireland over the far west of Scotland on Saturday, resulting in some light rain.
