Jordan Kearney, from Peterhead, was diagnosed with a rare form of brain cancer when a large, 4cm mass was discovered after an appointment at an opticians in June.

A Scots student who suffered from headaches has died just months after being told that his brain tumour was inoperable.

His aunt Lisa Ann Kearney lead the tributes as she hailed her nephew in a heartfelt message on social media. Lisa said: “Jordan Kearney was tired and you called him home to heaven on Thursday. You could never of meet a kinder person who never had a bad word to say about anyone. Jordan, who was head boy at Peterhead Academy had to defer the last term of his final year at university studying international business management, because of the debilitating headaches he was suffering.

Tonia Eddie said: “Jordan was one of the most genuinely kind people I’ve ever had the privilege of teaching. He always had a smile on his face and had a heart of gold. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this very sad time.”
