Emergency services were scrambled to the A702 near Silverburn at around 4.30pm on Sunday, October 15, following a single-vehicle collision.
A road has been closed in both directions following a "serious" collision with police still at the scene.
Traffic Scotland posted on X, formerly known as Twitter: "CLOSED. A702 both directions at Carlops remain closed due to a previous collision. Emergency services are in attendance. Traffic coping well in area, please approach with care." Cops confirmed that they were called to a report of a single-vehicle crash on Sunday afternoon and officers remain in attendance.
