Staff at a Glasgow restaurant have been threatened with a tips deduction if they fail to clean the kitchen properly, it has been claimed
. Hospitality workers at Oscar Bar and Kitchen in the city's Shawlands were allegedly informed of the new system via email this week.
The email, with a subject matter of 'tips scheme' reads: "Tips are a bonus and as that is the case we will be working off this system where not applying yourself properly to how the kitchen runs will result in loss of tips. "Some of you might find these a bit excessive but if we all want to keep our full tips, we will stick to this and the kitchen will run a lot more efficient. I fully expect all of us to be receiving full tips every fortnight!"
