Sharon Bavaird, from East Kilbride, has been inundated with threats since she talked about a horror attack on her daughter Tanith.
A Scots mum is terrified for her life after getting online abuse when she spoke out about her daughter getting targeted by a cruel youth gang.
In sickening messages, one threatens: "I'm not being funny you stupid looking f***. See if you don't get me and my pals off your stupid f****** Facebook page I'm going to punch utter f*** out of you. Speaking to Glasgow Live about the threats, the mum said: "I knew there would be backlash, but I would rather speak out and live in fear than not and still live in fear of them. These are only a tiny part of the messages, voicemails and threats on the street that me and my daughter get.
"It's very tough, everyone involved is passing the buck for who is responsible for dealing with the gang. I've even tried reaching out to their parents and family; they are either living in denial or don't care what they do." "These girls are going to kill someone and the council, police and social services are all passing the buck around. The police even admit their hands are tied by the Children's Reporter."East Kilbride is my home, its where I grew up and where my family are from. But now I feel I'm being chased out, I've thought about leaving, people are pulling their kids out of school because of the violence and others have already left.
