Katrina Boal received a call from customers on Monday to tell her that her van had been obliterated
A Glasgow mum's business of five years has been destroyed after a yob smashed into her snack van and sped off. Katrina Boal, also known as Tina, received a call from customers on Monday to tell her that her food truck - from which she operated Tea na's Snack Bar - had been obliterated.
The business had been closed since the beginning of the year due to various issues, including the cost of living crisis, and Tina had been contemplating what to do with the van before it was destroyed. She told Glasgow Live: "I’ve worked so hard on that business and it’s been destroyed in seconds. It hasn’t sunk in yet. I don’t know what I am going to do.
"I was toying with the idea of what to do next because it has been a struggle. I did it completely by myself and it has been tough." She added: "I was freaking out at the start but now I’m looking at it as a freak accident. I am in shock and so is my wee boy. There’s some important documents I need to get but I can’t face going back and trying to find them - it’s too emotional."
