A number of Scottish charity workers have been helping with aid to Ukraine during its war efforts and have revealed that Scotland has now become one of the countries biggest providers in Europe.
Big hearted Scots have given more aid to war torn Ukraine than any other country, a charity has revealed. Jeeps for Peace founder Stuart McKenzie has said that Scotland is now one of the biggest providers of aid in Europe to Ukraine through the convoy system.
It is the latest and biggest mercy mission for Stuart and will be one of the single biggest aid efforts in Scotland to Ukraine since the conflict began. The latest convoy of 35 vehicles and 50 drivers will set off later from Edinburgh to Ukraine travelling via Newcastle, Germany and Poland with vital supplies.
The convoy to Kolomyya will also include several ambulances and other rescue vehicles. The aid vehicles will also be carrying generators, spare vehicle parts, spades and even drones. “We will meet with the army who will update us on the situation to date. There will also be the chance to visit Ukrainian war graves to show people the reality of the war.”
