A cake shop owner who burst into tears after seeing herself in a swimming costume has turned her life around by losing seven stone
. After battling with her weight her whole life, Abby Redmond admits her ‘rock bottom moment’ came in May 2021 when she caught a glimpse of herself in the mirror.
"One day I went swimming and I was in the changing rooms, put my costume on, looked at myself in the mirror and started crying. I thought 'Abby, you've went too far now, your body's wrecked'. Last year, Abby won an award at the Scottish Health and Fitness Awards for 'best transformation' thanks to her hard work.Abby often receives questions about how she lost weight when working in a cake shop and said she still has 'a sweet tooth'.
“I came up with the protein bar. I love fitness and I love my job so it combines the two. I can't believe how people are loving the protein bar. I'm moving into a bigger premises now to keep up with demand. I'm in the process of moving just now.
